NTGent is Ghent’s city theatre, and is based in its building on Sint-Baafsplein, between the cathedral, belfry and town hall in the centre of the city. NTGent sees itself as a European company that is firmly rooted in Ghent. This European dimension is reflected both in the partners we cooperate with, in the formation of our repertoire and our choice of directors and themes. It is a place of creation and reflection, passion and emotion. 

A haven of quality, ethics, sustainability and diversity. And above all it is a collection of people: the ensemble and the theatre-makers and the audience. All this is founded on a belief in the necessity of developing a cross-border theatre practice. To this end, NTGent performs its productions in every corner of its own linguistic region, but is also in demand and is an active partner on the international stage.
